Origin Story
The PINKIES™ bar began in an unexpected place. A small group of friends were experimenting with mini-dosing mushrooms—encased in a pink, plant-based capsule—while preparing for long days of rock climbing, never imagining that curiosity would evolve into a mushroom company.
Somewhere along the way, we partnered with a rare talent: a process engineer turned chocolate connoisseur, whose deep manufacturing expertise and reverence for craft helped shape what PINKIES would become. As ideas matured into experiments and experiments into recipes, one truth became clear—the industry’s conventional ingredient choices didn’t align with our values.
So we chose a better route. PINKIES forgoes the artificial chocolates and flavorings used by most producers, opting instead for rich, 100% Belgian chocolate paired with vibrant, 100% natural freeze-dried fruits sourced from New Zealand.
Grounded in tradition as much as innovation, PINKIES also pays homage to classic HERSHEY’S chocolate by using a single plastic wrapper—rather than the industry-standard cardboard plus plastic—and by mimicking Hershey’s iconic mold, honoring a legacy that shaped American chocolate. Each bar is finished with a National Park–inspired wrapper, a tribute to the PINKIES team’s love for rock climbing, open air, and the wild places that inspire us.

At the surface, the word "pinkies" to us simply represent a tiny amount; hence the "mini-dose" reference. However, at its core, PINKIES™ Chocolate is a neuro-network–inspired craft, guided by the mycological philosophies of thinkers like Terence McKenna and Paul Stamets. Each bar is created in service of a growing community devoted to mindful health, expanded awareness, and balanced living.

As suggested on our branding, "less is more." Despite every bar and piece being portioned into consistent servings, we get that every individual's body is chemically different. That said, we would typically recommend starting less than even anyone's recommended amount and work your way up from there as you become more comfortable each step of the way. Despite our portioned mini-dose being one rectangular piece, you can do half to start if you are new to our product, which are said to be stronger than comparable products on the market today!
Though the PINKIES Chocolate team spans multiple corners of the map, every bar is thoughtfully designed and crafted in Temecula, nestled among California’s rolling wine vineyards. The town’s quiet rhythm and secluded calm infuse each creation, lending the focus, balance, and consistency PINKIES is known for.
Each of our bars is thoughtfully crafted with a blend of natural ingredients, including carefully selected mushrooms chosen to harmonize beautifully with their fruity counterparts.
